Federal Express Truck Fatally Struck Pennsylvania Woman
July 17, 2019
A Federal Express truck fatally struck a Pennsylvania woman on Wednesday, July 10. The trucking accident occurred around 9 am in Ligonier, Pennsylvania when the 54-year-old woman escorted two children to school. While she walked within the intersection that contained a pedestrian walkway and stop sign, the FedEx truck hit her, and she became trapped underneath the vehicle. Although bystanders and first responders attempted to extract her from beneath the truck, they could not do so.
Currently, Attorney Richard DiTomaso of DiTomaso Law is handling a similar case where a motorist was fatally struck by a FedEx truck while he was examining his vehicle for damage on the shoulder of the NJ Turnpike. In the December 2016 case, the FedEx driver allegedly failed to obtain enough rest before operating the delivery truck, and he was denied two requested rest breaks by his employer during the 12-hour shift. Unfortunately, many accidents involving delivery trucks may be caused negligent drivers or ones who commit driver errors due to lack of sleep or inadequate training.
If you or someone you love became injured due to a negligent truck driver, the Philadelphia trucking accident lawyers at DiTomaso Law will design a case that recovers the compensation you will require.
